Financial Aid Reapplication Opens for Ukrainians: Key Deadlines and Eligibility.
Norwegian Refugee Council Support Program
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian citizens have a new opportunity to apply for financial assistance through a program run by the Norwegian Refugee Council. This initiative allows for a reapplication, specifically targeting vulnerable households that have not received any aid in the past six months. The application window is open until 12:00 on February 25, 2026. This support is part of ongoing international efforts to alleviate hardship within Ukraine.
To qualify, applicants must be residing within Ukraine. The charitable foundation 'Right to Protection' is administering the program, which provides 3,600 UAH per household for a three-month period. The aid is designed to reach those in the most urgent need of financial support.
Additional Financial Support Available
Separately, on February 19, pensioners and people with disabilities will be eligible to receive a one-time payment of 10,800 UAH from the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR). Furthermore, the same UNHCR program will provide up to 2,800 UAH for other categories of vulnerable Ukrainian households. These payments are a critical component of social safety nets during the current crisis.
These multiple avenues for financial assistance can help Ukrainians manage the severe economic pressures they continue to face.
This program is part of the concerted efforts by international organizations and charitable funds to aid Ukrainians affected by the consequences of war and economic crisis.
Providing this direct financial support to vulnerable groups is essential for meeting basic needs and improving living conditions during an extremely difficult period. The implementation of such programs can help stabilize the social situation in the country and deliver necessary support to those who need it most.
