Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a key oil refinery in Russia near Saratov: consequences of the drone attack.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the oil refinery in the Saratov region of Russia. This is one of the key objects of the aggressor country's fuel infrastructure.
This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Sunday, August 10.
Drones hit the Saratov oil refinery
On the night of August 10, the drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, struck the enterprise. As a result of the drone hits, a fire broke out at the facility, and powerful explosions were heard.
The Saratov oil refinery is one of the important objects of Russia's fuel infrastructure, supplying fuel to the occupying forces. The enterprise can process up to 7 million tons of oil per year.
'The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to systematically take measures aimed at reducing the military-economic potential of the enemy with the goal of forcing it to cease armed aggression against our state. Each affected object on the territory of Russia that is involved in supporting its criminal war against Ukraine brings us closer to a just peace.'- stated the General Staff.
It should be noted that a Russian drone struck a civilian car in Kup'yansk. Additionally, the Russian army attacked the railway station in Dnipropetrovsk region.
