Ukrainian drones hit the most important oil refinery in Tatarstan – it's over 1000 kilometers from the front.
Strike on the 'Taneko' oil refinery in Tatarstan
An incident occurred in Tatarstan when a strike was recorded at the 'Taneko' oil refinery. This refinery is one of the most modern and powerful facilities in the oil refining sector in the Russian Federation. This was reported by Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation (CCD).
This is already the second case of attack on this strategic facility since 2024. The previous attack, which took place in the spring, resulted in damage to the primary oil processing unit at the enterprise.
'Taneko' is of great importance to the Russian military machine, as it refines more than 16 million tons of oil annually and is the main supplier of fuel for the RF armed forces.
Andriy Kovalenko emphasized that such attacks on oil refineries and oil depots have a direct impact on Russia's ability to conduct active hostilities.
Interestingly, the refinery is located over 1000 kilometers from the front line, indicating a significant expansion of the geography of strikes on strategic objects of Russian infrastructure.
It has also become known about a drone attack on the Ust-Luga port: the National Security and Defense Council reported what is known about the strategic object of the RF.
