On October 7, Ukrainian hackers conducted a large-scale cyberattack on the Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. According to information from informed sources of Sospilne, more than 20 Russian TV channels, including "Russia 1", "Russia 24", "Russia Kultura", and "RTR Planeta", ceased online broadcasting early in the morning. The attack also affected television broadcasting, with informants reporting that all information on the servers had been destroyed, including backups, and even online broadcasting and internal services no longer work, with no access to the internet or telephony.

The responsibility for this cyberattack was claimed by the anonymous Ukrainian hacker group Sudo rm-RF, which had previously carried out attacks on Russian targets. This attack is part of a series of cyber operations against Russian resources. Recently, on October 2, cyber specialists from GUR attacked "Alfa-Bank", the bank "Otkritie", and the operator "Rostelecom". Between September 23 and 26, during the GUR operation, more than 800 servers were attacked in various regions of Russia.
