Ukrainian cheeses may disappear from shelves: what is this related to.

According to forecasts, by the end of 2025, Ukrainian cheese producers may cease their activities due to the increase in imports of foreign products. This statement was made by the executive director of the Dairy Enterprises Union, Arsen Didur. He warned that if imports capture 80% of the domestic market, large producers will be forced to stop their operations.
'If by the end of 2025 imports capture 80% of the domestic market, Ukrainian manufacturers will not withstand and will stop. No one will work at a loss. This applies to large producers,' Didur stated.
Currently, there are about 20-30 large and medium-sized cheese enterprises in Ukraine, which form the basis of cheese production. Approximately 200 thousand people work in this sector, including farmers, producers, logistics specialists, and sellers.
'If the situation does not change, the share of imported hard cheeses will continue to grow, and Ukraine will lose its own cheese industry. This will lead to a reduction in farms and a decrease in the number of cows,' warned the marketing director of the 'Como' brand.
At the same Time, small producers will suffer less due to stable demand in local markets, Didur added.
Currently, Ukrainians are also interested in changes in prices for dairy products.
