The President of Ukraine handed out certificates to Heroes of Ukraine and fallen soldiers

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, handed out certificates for receiving apartments to the heroes of Ukraine and members of the families of fallen soldiers who were posthumously awarded this title. This was reported by the Office of the President.

Each of our soldiers must know: "I defend Ukraine, and Ukraine defends me." This is a fundamental principle on which state policy regarding male and female defenders should be built. Each person who defended and defends Ukraine should receive support and respectful treatment

Volodymyr Zelensky handed out certificates to 25 soldiers and relatives of fallen servicemen, representatives of various military services.

The initiative was launched last December. The President thanked all Ukrainian defenders and called to always remember those who gave their lives for Ukraine.

President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on providing housing to citizens awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine.

The statute of the title Hero of Ukraine was supplemented with a new section that provides that "persons awarded the title Hero of Ukraine with the Gold Star order may be granted one-time targeted assistance in the form of housing for permanent residence without considering the presence of such persons on the list of citizens needing improved housing conditions".
