Ukrainian warrior lived for three years with a bullet in his heart: unique operation saved his life.
According to inkorr.com: A Ukrainian serviceman, who participated in the defense of Azovstal in Mariupol and spent three years in Russian captivity, miraculously survived after being shot in the heart. This was reported by Gromadske citing Boris Todurov, the director of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
According to Todurov, the fighter was wounded during the battles for Mariupol, after which he ended up in Russian captivity.
Two months ago, he was released, and doctors successfully removed the bullet from his heart. Todurov emphasized that “He lived with this bullet for three years. Fortunately, it did not cause harm, and now we have removed it. It is truly a miracle that the guy survived.”
Sniper wounded a father and son with one bullet
Earlier, a case was recorded where a Russian sniper wounded a father and son with one bullet. Viktor Obertos recounted that the sniper hit a fighter at their position. The injury turned out to be serious, but the guy survived despite a pierced chest and damaged organs. Viktor noted that they continued to carry the wounded, but unfortunately, he died during transportation to the medical point.
These stories demonstrate the importance of prompt medical assistance on the battlefield and the fate of warriors who continue to fight even under fire. In wartime conditions, such cases remind us once again of the resilience and heroism of the Ukrainian military, who pay with their lives and health to defend their country.
