Ukraine is preparing for a strong atmospheric front
Ukraine is getting ready for a strong atmospheric front that will bring significant weather changes in the coming days. According to forecaster Nataliia Didenko, the beginning of the week will be extremely active and changeable in terms of weather.
Starting tomorrow, December 17, the country will be enveloped by intense rains, with wet snow expected in some areas of the northeast. The wind gusts will be particularly dangerous, reaching 17-22, and in some places even 25 meters per second. They will primarily come from the west and northwest.
The temperature will be quite mild for December. During the day, the air temperature will rise to +4+9 degrees, while in the south, +7+12 degrees is expected, whereas in the northeast, the temperature will range from 0 to +4 degrees.
In the capital, the forecaster predicts a windy Tuesday with precipitation. The temperature in Kyiv will be +5+7 degrees, and gusty winds will reach 15-20 meters per second.
Didenko assures that by the middle of the week, the weather situation will somewhat stabilize. A decrease in precipitation and a weakening of the wind are expected, especially on Thursday. However, a further drop in temperature is possible on Sunday.
