Ukrnafta plans to drill 30 new wells by 2025
The Director of the Ukrainian Oil Company (Ukrnafta), Serhiy Koretskyy, announced that by 2025, it is planned to drill about 30 new wells, as well as conduct major repairs, update equipment, and increase production.
He announced this information during a conference organized by the Ministry of Economy and the National Joint Stock Company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" on the occasion of the "State Enterprises Oil and Gas Sector Supplier Day for 2025".
"In 2025, we plan to increase production. It is planned to drill about 30 new wells, most of which will be drilled by outside contractors," noted Serhiy Koretskyy. "It is also planned to conduct about 120 major well repairs, of which 34 are ordered by outside contractors, and also 52 hydraulic fracturing operations, of which 30 will be carried out with external support."
The company focuses on equipment upgrades and energy efficiency improvements, particularly the modernization of compressor stations, installation of GCU and block-modular equipment for hydrocarbon preparation and measurement.
It is also planned to conduct 3D seismic surveys over an area of about 1250 square kilometers and other geophysical studies. Among Ukrnafta's priorities for 2025 is the study of pipelines to prevent breaks and emergency situations. It is planned to inspect about 2.5 thousand kilometers of pipelines.
