The company "Ukrtnafta" requested the return of a charitable donation of 5 million UAH, which was transferred to the charity fund "Okhmatdyt - Healthy Childhood" after a missile strike on "Okhmatdyt" on July 8. This was reported by the head of the fund, Yevhen Vember.

Vember emphasized that the company's letter can be considered confirmation of the fund's position that they are unable to transfer funds to the hospital's official accounts due to the lack of "targeted designation" and clear accounts for this purpose.

However, the letter states that such a decision was made due to the situation around the hospital, criminal cases, the suspension of the general director, and the fund's inability to provide reports on the targeted use of the aid.

"Of course, we returned the funds to PJSC "Ukrtnafta". PJSC "Ukrtnafta", for example, withdraws its obligation to allocate the specified amount for the hospital's recovery as soon as the hospital provides the targeted designation for the funding," - stated in Yevhen Vember's message.

In the comments under the press service of "Ukrtnafta" message, it is confirmed that "the funds will be guaranteed to be re-transferred for the hospital's recovery after a final legal decision is made on the subject who will manage the funds according to Ukrainian legislation," as "it is critically important that all recovery processes are completely transparent."

Let us remind you, the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Okhmatdyt - Healthy Childhood" does not plan to transfer the funds collected for recovery work in the institution to the NDSL "Okhmatdyt" account. As of August 16, 2024, the charitable fund had 378 million UAH on its account.

On the charity fund's website, it is stated that all collected funds will remain in its accounts. They are ready to direct them to any urgent need of the hospital: medical equipment or restoration of buildings damaged due to the Russian attack, "but all this Time we have not received any letter from the "Okhmatdyt" hospital regarding such a targeted need."

The process of restoring "Okhmatdyt" will be controlled by a special Council

Earlier it was reported that the tender for the restoration of the children's hospital "Okhmatdyt", which was attacked by missiles by the occupiers, will be canceled. Instead, a new tender will be held.

Let us remind you, on July 8, the Russian Federation carried out a massive missile strike on the city of Kyiv. One of the missiles hit the children's hospital "Okhmatdyt". One of the hospital's buildings was completely destroyed, and several buildings were also damaged. It was also known about two dead. Later it became known that a child who was in "Okhmatdyt" after surgery died in intensive care.
