Ukrzaliznytsia Introduces New Rail Routes
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine's state railway operator, Ukrzaliznytsia, has enhanced regional connectivity by launching new passenger services from Lviv to Vorokhta and from Kharkiv to Sumy. The inaugural train #808Ш on the Lviv-Vorokhta route has already departed, with passengers on the first journey receiving commemorative gifts and a special discount for rafter rides in Bukovel.
Schedule for the New Trains
Furthermore, starting February 7, train #213/214 on the Kharkiv-Sumy line will operate daily. The schedule is as follows:
- Departure from Kharkiv at 09:00;
- Arrival in Sumy at 12:17;
- The return trip from Sumy departs at 12:56;
- Arrival back in Kharkiv at 16:01.
These new routes are part of a broader initiative to develop transport infrastructure and improve travel convenience. This expansion follows the recent announcement of a new direct daily service connecting Odesa with Rakhiv, further widening the rail network.
The launch of these trains represents a significant step in developing Ukraine's railway connections, which may positively impact the tourist appeal of these regions. — Ukrzaliznytsia
For residents of the Sumy and Kharkiv regions, the improved accessibility is also expected to contribute to local economic development. These services provide vital domestic links amid the ongoing challenges in the country.
