New Kharkiv to Sumy Rail Service Announced by Ukrainian Railways.
Additional Train Service Launched
According to TSN.ua: Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) is enhancing regional connectivity by introducing an additional passenger train, numbered 213/214, between Kharkiv and Sumy. This new service, commencing on February 7, is designed to improve transport accessibility and provide a convenient travel option for passengers moving between these two key cities. This expansion is part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve vital infrastructure links across the country.
Schedule and Intermediate Stops
The train will depart from Kharkiv at 09:00, arriving in Sumy at 12:17. For the return journey, it leaves Sumy at 12:56 and reaches Kharkiv at 16:01. The route will serve several important stations, making travel more accessible for residents of these areas. The intermediate stops include:
- Liubotyn
- Bohodukhiv
- Kyrykivka
- Trostianets-Smorodyne
This service provides a crucial link for communities along the route.
Tickets for the new train are now available for purchase through the official Ukrzaliznytsia app, on their website, and at station ticket offices. This passenger service upgrade represents a significant step in developing the region's transport infrastructure.
The launch of this additional Kharkiv-Sumy connection is part of Ukrzaliznytsia's broader program to modernize and expand its rail network, aiming to improve the quality of passenger transport.
