The government will provide funds to veterans for sports activities: details.
Combat participants and persons with disabilities due to war will be allocated money for sports
Starting from January 15, combatants and persons with disabilities due to war will be allocated funds for sports activities. This was reported by Member of Parliament Oleksiy Honcharenko.
According to Honcharenko, the Cabinet of Ministers plans to allocate 1,500 UAH for sports activities to veterans. Payments will be made on a quarterly basis.
Honcharenko also noted that the decree comes into effect on January 15. To receive the funds, one will need to submit an application through the 'Diia' portal.
It is worth noting that the Cabinet of Ministers has additionally allocated 400 million UAH for purchasing housing for veterans in 2024. This was reported by Minister for Veterans Affairs Natalia Kalmykova after a government meeting.
Earlier it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for obtaining the status of a combatant (UBD) during martial law in an online mode or automatically. According to Honcharenko, the Ministry for Veterans Affairs must ensure technical improvements to the registry within four months.
