The Government Approved the Draft Law on Land Alienation for Fortifications.
The government approved the draft law on the forced alienation of land during martial law for the construction and maintenance of engineering and fortification structures. This information was reported by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnichuk.
According to the draft law, amendments will be made to the Land Code of Ukraine and the laws "On the Legal Regime of Martial Law" and "On the Transfer, Forced Alienation or Seizure of Property under the Conditions of the Legal Regime of Martial or Emergency State".
After the period of restrictions ends, the plots can be repurchased or returned to their owners in accordance with the legislation.
In addition, it is proposed to establish special rules for the forced temporary alienation of land. This includes the drafting of an act on forced temporary deprivation of the right to use, the determination of the order of decisions on the termination of such restrictions, and the procedure for repurchasing the plot or its part.
After being approved by the government, the draft law will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
Creation of Minefields on the Border with Poland
The Polish authorities approved the idea of creating minefields on the eastern border as part of the "Eastern Shield" project. This was reported by the Polish TV channel TVP. Military exercises will be conducted at the training ground in Ożysz, personally inspected by Prime Minister Donald Tusk. During the exercises, various precautionary and protective fortifications will be tested, including concrete hedgehogs, anti-tank ditches, and minefields. After this, work on equipping the Eastern Shield will begin. The first elements will be ready this winter.
