Ukrzaliznytsia launches additional trains: where and when new routes will appear

Ukrzaliznytsia has decided to provide additional services on routes with high demand to make more seats available for passengers. Now people will not have to turn to resellers to buy tickets.

New trains from Ukrzaliznytsia

Starting in September, new trains will provide additional connections for several regions of Ukraine. The first train No. 260/259 Chop — Kremenchuk:

  • departure from Chop on September 2 at 14:24;
  • arrival in Kremenchuk at 13:33;
  • departure from Kremenchuk on September 3 at 14:18;
  • arrival in Chop at 12:45.

The second train No. 258/257 Yasinya — Kropyvnytskyi will operate on the following schedule:

  • departure from Yasinya on September 2 at 14:55;

'New routes have appeared thanks to the optimization of the schedule: trains that have completed their main route immediately leave for the next one, managing to make one more loop', the company explained.

Construction of European tracks in Ukraine

Oleksandr Pertzovsky announced plans to build European standard tracks on the Chop — Uzhhorod section to connect these cities to the European Union and speed up passenger and freight transportation.

'After the completion of the works, trains will be able to travel directly to Poland and EU countries without transfers, changing cars, and stops at the border', emphasized the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development.

What else Ukrainians should know

Ukrzaliznytsia is strengthening the fight against resellers by blocking their accounts. Passenger registration has become mandatory due to the increased demand for tickets.

During the period from August 4 to August 10, passengers used the services of the railway carrier, and the competition for seats on trains on popular routes was between 5 to 8 people.
