In Israel, prospects for the release of hostages in Gaza are assessed.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar reported that the country has become more optimistic about the possibility of releasing hostages in Gaza. According to him, negotiations are underway for the return of about 100 hostages, and although it is still too early to speak definitively about this, the prospects have significantly improved.
Saar stated: 'We can be more optimistic than before, but we have not yet achieved our goal. I hope we will reach it soon.' He also confirmed Israel's position that the hostages being held in Gaza should be released before a ceasefire.
According to a Palestinian official, Hamas has reached out to other factions in Gaza to request a recount of the names of Israeli and foreign hostages in their custody, whether they are alive or dead.
