The city of Odesa plans to create a new park 'Azerbaijan', which will cover over 2 hectares. This public space will be located in the recreational zone at the 4th station of Big Fountain. The idea behind its creation is for it to become a symbol of cultural ties and support between Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
During a meeting of the mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov with representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora, the concept of park improvement, stages of its implementation, funding sources, and the possibility of patronage participation were discussed. It was noted that the project will be implemented analogously to the existing parks in the city, Istanbul and Greek.
The project organizers have already received support from the construction company that is building a residential complex nearby.
It was noted that the creation of the 'Azerbaijan' park in Odesa is a kind of gesture of friendship and cooperation between the countries, which will also deepen multilateral relations and mutual understanding.
