German Culture Minister Arrived in Odesa on a Visit.
State Minister of Germany in Odesa: Support for Culture and Joint Exhibition with the Museum
Claudia Roth, the German State Minister for Culture and Media, visited Odesa. This information was reported by the head of the Odesa RMA, Oleh Kiper.
During her visit, Ms. Roth walked through the streets of the city's historical center and personally witnessed the damage to cultural sites caused by hostile actions. She inspected the ruined House of Scientists and the Transfiguration Cathedral and got acquainted with the regional culture.
Together with the Ukrainian Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications, Mykola Tochytskyi, they expressed gratitude for the assistance Germany provides to Odesa and Ukraine
The German Culture Minister assured continued support for Ukraine. To make Ukrainian culture more known and influential in Germany, a joint exhibition with the Odesa Museum of Western and Eastern Art will open in Berlin in January.
Previously, Claudia Roth, the Federal Minister of Culture of Germany, expressed her support for the fundamental separation between culture and politics, a popular thesis in Western circles.
