In one of the regions, electricity outage schedules have been introduced.
On the morning of October 23, emergency power outages began in the Poltava region. This decision was made by the NEC "Ukrenergo." This was reported in the Telegram channel "Poltavaoblenergo."
Restrictions began to take effect at 8:30 am in the territory of Poltava.
According to the order of NEC "Ukrenergo," on October 23, GAV was applied in the region with a volume of 30 MW
Previously, emergency outage schedules were in effect in the region and in the evening of October 22.
The emergency outage schedule (GAV) is a power cut due to an urgent power shortage in the energy system, which occurs as a result of emergency situations at power plants or equipment overload. It is impossible to warn consumers about such outages in advance, so they need to be executed immediately. Therefore, the duration of outages and the list of localities are unknown.
The Ministry of Energy denied the United Nations forecast regarding the duration of power outages in winter in Ukraine. Government representatives assert that until the end of October and in November, there will be no problems with power supply and hope that this year the winter will pass almost without outages, as it did last year.
On October 9, the NNEGC "Energoatom" completed the repair of a nuclear power plant unit and announced the readiness of all nine power units for operation in the fall and winter.
Furthermore, the European Commission is working on increasing the volume of electricity supply to Ukraine. The G7 countries and other partners have gathered over 4 billion dollars for the restoration of the country's energy infrastructure.
