In the United Nations, they expressed concern about the information on the deployment of North Korean troops in Russia for further participation in the war against Ukraine.
This was reported by the spokesperson of the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres - Stephane Dujarric, according to Ukrinform.
"The Secretary-General is very concerned about reports of troops being sent from the DPRK to the Russian Federation, including their possible deployment in the conflict zone. This would mean a very dangerous escalation of the war in Ukraine. Every effort must be made to avoid any internationalization of this conflict," the message says.
The statement emphasizes that Guterres reaffirms his support for "all meaningful efforts aimed at achieving a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace in Ukraine, in accordance with the UN Charter, international law, and General Assembly resolutions."
