In Krasnodar Krai, oil refineries and a military unit are burning: the consequences of drone attacks.
On the night of August 7, several large-scale fires broke out in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, following a suspected drone attack. Authorities confirmed a blaze on the territory of the Afipsky oil refinery in the village of Afipsky in the Seversky district. Additionally, according to some Russian media sources, a military unit No. 61661 in Slavyansk-na-Kubani caught fire.
According to the operational headquarters, the fire was caused by falling debris from the UAV, which hit a technological facility for the joint processing of gas and gas condensate. The fire was assigned a difficulty level of 4. The blaze covered an area of about 250 square meters. Firefighters localized the fire, with open flames extinguished at 7:38, and full liquidation announced at 8:21 in the morning.
Local residents reported explosions and heavy smoke. Citizens received a notification about the fire at the military facility, although its number was not officially stated. Eyewitnesses are sharing videos from both locations showing the aftermath of the attacks and the scale of the burning.
It should be reminded that a railway was also attacked in Russia on the night of August 7. A similar drone attack was recorded yesterday, August 6, on the Tatsinskaya railway.
