Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and Minister of Justice Olga Stefanishina stated that Ukraine will be invited to the Alliance only within the 1991 borders.
She announced this in an interview on the national telethon, reports 'Khvilya'.
Stefanishina asserts that Ukraine's accession to NATO without the temporarily occupied territories is not allowed.
She added that Ukraine's membership in the Alliance is possible only after the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war. However, the situation may change during the invitation.
'After the invitation, an accession protocol is drawn up, which indicates both the deadlines and the reforms that need to be done, this is a matter of physical compatibility. But that's later. At present, the invitation, and it is not discussed at all, neither by the advancement at the front nor by the territories,' Stefanishina noted.
Recall, Zelensky announced regular military assistance from the USA.
