Frosts return to Ukraine: what will the weather be like in the first days of May.
On Thursday, May 1, it will be warm almost everywhere in Ukraine – from +16 to +24 degrees. However, the next day, May 2, frosts on the surface of the ground are expected. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
The first day of May will be marked by no precipitation, with only brief rains possible in the western, northern, central regions, and in the Kharkiv region.
Wind gusts of up to 20 m/s are also expected in these regions.
Night temperatures on Thursday will range from +5 to +10 degrees, near the seashore – around +13. Daytime temperatures will range from +19 to +24 degrees, and in the northern part of the country – from +15 to +20.
At the end of the week, on May 2, frosts on the surface of the ground are expected to range from 0 to 5 degrees. Daytime temperatures will be from +12 to +16 degrees, and in the western and southern regions – up to +22 degrees.
Since the beginning of April, Ukraine has been covered by frosts after a warm March. This can negatively affect agricultural crops. This was told by the head of the agrometeorology department of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, Tetiana Adamenko.

Moreover, there has been an increase in tick bites in spring. Their activity will last until the end of autumn, especially in May-June and September-October. The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention provides advice on how to protect yourself from ticks while resting in nature.
