The Murder of Hanul: New Details Emerge About the Suspect.
The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police have detained a man suspected of murdering activist Dmytro Hanul in Odesa. Details of the case are being clarified, but it is noted that the crime may have been ordered or linked to Russia.
The law enforcement officers seized weapons and a grenade from the detainee. The crime is being investigated as intentional murder committed by order.
Dmytro Hanul was known as a patriot and volunteer who actively supported Ukrainian soldiers. He was involved in volunteer activities, providing soldiers with necessary resources.
This is not the first attack on the activist. In 2023, he became a victim of an assault during which three men in military uniform attacked him. Hanul appealed to the police and the Security Service for protection due to threats received and the 'leak' of personal information online.
Today, Dmytro Hanul was murdered in the Primorsky District of Odesa. The investigation of this crime has been taken under personal control by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko.
