According to the State Emergency Service, five people were injured, including a child. As a result of the explosion, nine apartments sustained partial damage, and another 15 suffered losses. There are concerns that a person may be trapped under the rubble.
Currently, all emergency services are working in Khmelnytskyi. The mayor reported that the cause of the explosion was a gas leak. Specialists are already assessing the risks for the building and are deciding on the evacuation of residents. The injured have been examined by doctors, and hospitalization was not necessary.
“The explosion occurred due to a gas leak,” said the mayor.
