From Isolation to Triumph: Washington Post on Trump's Phenomenal Return to the White House.
The Washington Post analyzed Donald Trump's victory in the U.S. presidential elections and discussed the main factors and features of his campaign.
According to the publication, Trump won due to the support of his traditional voter base and success among historically Democratic voters. He improved his performance among men, white voters without higher education, as well as Latinos and young people.
According to WP journalists, Trump won in three states: Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The results in Michigan, Arizona, and Nevada are still being counted.
A special feature of the victory was the fact that Trump became the oldest president in U.S. history, while his vice president became one of the youngest - J.D. Vance from Ohio.
In his speech, Trump stated, "We are going to fix everything in our country, and we are making history tonight. We overcame obstacles that no one thought possible."
The Washington Post notes that Trump's campaign focused on immigration issues, leveraging citizens' concerns about border security. One of the newspaper's investigations indicates that Trump was the center of this campaign and significantly influenced it.
The publication also mentions that Trump is returning to the White House four years after his previous first presidential campaign.
