According to UATV: On March 29, 2023, Russian shelling left two people wounded across the Kharkiv, Odesa, and Chernihiv regions of Ukraine. These strikes caused extensive damage to residential buildings, infrastructure, and sparked multiple fires. The ongoing attacks highlight the continued threat to civilians amid the war.
Details of the Shelling
In the Kharkiv region, two individuals sustained injuries. The shelling targeted the Kholodnohirskyi district, where four residential buildings were damaged. In the Odesa region, strikes hit homes and energy infrastructure. In Chernihiv region, the town of Novhorod-Siverskyi saw a woodworking factory, homes, and a kindergarten come under attack. The factory was hit by five 'Geran' unmanned aerial vehicles, triggering a warehouse fire.
Commenting on the incident, Oleksandr Seliverstov stated:
“The enterprise was struck immediately by five 'Geran' UAVs.”
Additionally, Mykola Kalashnyk noted that 'there are minor consequences in the Boryspil and Bila Tserkva districts of the region.' President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the scale of the assaults, declaring:
“Russia has used more than 3,000 attack drones against Ukrainian cities and communities.”
These events underscore the ongoing military operations and their toll on Ukraine's civilian population. The growing frequency of Russian shelling, particularly the use of drones, signals an escalation of the conflict and heightened danger for local residents. The situation remains tense, with further attacks potentially posing serious risks to regional security and stability.
