Famous lawyer lost her license for supporting Russian aggression.

The lawyer-propagandist was deprived of the right to practice law in Ukraine. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. 

At the request of the Office of the Prosecutor General, the Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of the Bar of the Zhytomyr region deprived the lawyer of the right to practice law.

The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine does not name the lawyer, but in the photo published along with the office's statement, Tetiana Montian can be identified. 

Earlier, prosecutors submitted an indictment against the lawyer to the court in March 2023. She was accused of calling for violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order of Ukraine, seizure of state power of Ukraine, change of territory boundaries and state border of Ukraine, denial of the fact of armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, and justifying the war (Articles 109, 110, 111-1, 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that after the beginning of the Russian Federation's invasion of Ukraine in March 2022, the accused systematically commented on the socio-political situation in Ukraine on propaganda channels. She justified the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and called for violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order of Ukraine, change of territory boundaries, and state border of Ukraine.

Recently, the Russian Federation offered Montian to participate in a UN Security Council meeting dedicated to the implementation of the "Minsk agreements" as a witness. During her speech via video conference, Montian relayed Russian narratives, calling Ukraine a "puppet of the West" and accusing the "collective West" of trying to provoke a war on Ukrainian soil with Russia. She also repeated Russian propaganda theses about the "killing of the peaceful population of Donbas" - children, elderly people, and people with disabilities. Montian also stated that she had been on the occupied territories of Donbas and saw it with her own eyes.

According to the publication Sprotyv.info, Montian systematically participates in GRU special operations, spreading disinformation and manipulation regarding Ukraine and its foreign partners.

Even during the war, Montian continues to comment to Russian propaganda media. On Radio Sputnik, she stated: "if Russia does not engage in a serious war with the collective West, it will simply perish".

Tetiana Montian is a native of Crimea and has been living in Kyiv since 2014. She is known for her pro-Russian views and as early as 2014, she called on Russia to act more decisively, seize neighboring countries, and not to recognize the "maydanuts".
