According to ТСН: Resting at the ski resort "Bukovel" on the eve of the peak winter season is marked by the absence of significant queues, but rising service prices. As of January 1, the price for one day of skiing ranges from 1650 to 2050 hryvnias, and a new price increase is expected starting January 2, related to the beginning of the "high season".

Situation with queues and innovations

Host Vyacheslav Solomka noted that the situation with queues at the lifts is currently quite acceptable: the waiting time does not exceed 10 minutes. Among the positive innovations this year is the implementation of the automation of the ticket purchasing process.

"They finally installed machines where you can buy a ski pass with a bank card. This happens very quickly. You can purchase a card, which you then top up online, so there is no need to stand in line at the ticket office," the host shared his observation on service improvement.

Service prices

While the service is improving, the financial aspect of the vacation remains challenging for many tourists. Solomka talked about the current rates that are only valid until the end of today.

"One lift, by the way, just for your understanding, costs 400 hryvnias — my goodness! Daily skiing from 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM will cost 1650 hryvnias. If you take a ski pass for the whole day, the price is approximately 2050 hryvnias. And this is considering that starting tomorrow the high season begins, and prices will be even higher," emphasized Vyacheslav Solomka.

The host also emphasized that, despite the convenience of the new self-service terminals, this vacation can hardly be called budget-friendly, so skiers and snowboarders should be prepared for significant expenses in January.

Situation in the region

Let us remind you that the Ivano-Frankivsk region was hit by heavy snowfalls, which significantly complicated the situation on the region's roads. The complicated situation is observed on the routes leading to ski resorts, particularly to Bukovel.

Thus, the ski season in Bukovel started with positive changes in service, but high skiing prices may deter some tourists. Adverse weather conditions in the region may also affect the accessibility of the resort and the overall comfort of the vacation. Therefore, when planning a trip, it is important to take all these factors into account.
