Pentagon Seeks $200 Billion as Iran Conflict Enters Its Fourth Week.
Four Weeks of Violence in Iran: A Humanitarian Catastrophe Unfolds
According to Vox - Загальний: The war in Iran has now been raging for a month, triggering a severe humanitarian crisis. The Pentagon has requested $200 billion to sustain military operations, while an internet blackout across the country has crippled communication. Roughly 90 million Iranians are now cut off from global networks, making it extremely difficult to share information or stay connected.
Amid the conflict, residents face acute shortages of essential goods, and most businesses have remained shuttered for over two weeks. The regime has been waging a one-sided war against civilians for 47 years. Iran’s current population stands at 95 million, with an additional 5 million Iranians living abroad. The situation has been further inflamed by recent executions of three young men linked to protests in January.
Conflict Intensifies
Tensions in the region escalated dramatically after an Israeli strike killed senior Iranian security official Ali Larijani. Commenting on the crisis, Roya Rastegar stated:
“I recognize the psychological burden this moral calculus places on us as a people.”She also emphasized that
“the regime is waging a unilateral war against Iranian civilians.”
The situation in Iran is alarming and demands urgent international attention. With a humanitarian disaster deepening and no access to reliable information, ordinary citizens are trapped in a perilous struggle for survival. The assassination of a top security figure only underscores the escalating conflict, which risks destabilizing the entire region.
