The Armed Forces of Ukraine guarantee military personnel the right to a military pension even if they worked at a civilian enterprise after military service. The pension for length of service is granted from 45 years.

One citizen asked lawyers whether it is possible to receive a military pension if they worked for a civilian enterprise after military service.
'You have the right to apply for a pension, despite the fact that the last place of work was not a military unit, but a private enterprise, if on the day of dismissal from military service in 2022 your age was 45 years',
Length of service — when is it taken into account
According to Ayvazyan, military personnel who have a length of service of 25 calendar years or more on the day of dismissal from October 1, 2020, or after that date, or who reached the age of 45 at the time of dismissal, have the right to a pension for length of service.
An important condition is also the presence of an insurance record of 25 years or more, of which at least 12 calendar years and 6 months must be military service.
