Poltava military gave 255 thousand in bribes to stay in the rear: court decision.
In the Poltava region, a military officer received a bribe to remain in the rear. He paid 255 thousand hryvnias to stay behind the lines. In this regard, a court hearing took place, where punishment was assigned.
According to the verdict published in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.
Case details
He holds the position of head of the fuel and technical property storage department of one of the military units. The verdict states that in April 2024, his wife replenished the card of a military officer for 235 thousand hryvnias at his direction.
The funds were transferred as a bribe so that the commander would keep the military officer in the rear and not send him to combat units. In addition, another 20 thousand hryvnias were transferred by the military officer to an intermediary for influencing the decision. The total amount of the bribe was 255 thousand hryvnias.
The commander, in a subsequent decision, kept the military officer in the rear.
During the court hearing, the defendant fully acknowledged his guilt.
What the court decided
The military officer was found guilty of passing a bribe to influence a military official. He was fined 35,700 hryvnias.
It is reminded that in Kharkiv, a military officer set fire to a neighbor's car, which annoyed him. The court found him guilty and imposed punishment.
