Two Key Reasons Why Russian Forces Are Stalling on the Frontline, According to a Military Expert.
Why Russian Troops Are Struggling to Advance: An Expert Analysis
According to Espreso.tv: Military analyst Vladyslav Seleznyov has outlined the main reasons behind the stalled Russian offensive on the battlefield. He points to several critical factors:
- the high level of training among Ukrainian soldiers
- their combat readiness and preparation
- the quality of their equipment and supplies
- the extensive use of drones, which is significantly shaping the dynamics of the conflict
Seleznyov, a reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and former spokesman for the General Staff from 2014 to 2017, noted that on May 29 alone, 291 combat engagements were recorded along the Russian-Ukrainian front. On the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled 49 assault attempts by the aggressor.
Ukraine’s Growing Ability to Strike Deep Behind Enemy Lines
Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi, also reported that Ukrainian forces are now able to hit enemy positions at a depth of up to 30 kilometers. Seleznyov commented:
'Just a month or a month and a half ago, we were talking about a strike depth of 10 to 20 kilometers. Now, that figure has grown to 30 kilometers.' Vladyslav Seleznyov
These developments show that Ukrainian troops are effectively countering the aggression and maintaining pressure on the front lines.
The current situation on the battlefield highlights Ukraine's ability to respond more aggressively and hold the strategic initiative. Improved training and the integration of cutting-edge technology, particularly drones, allow Ukrainian forces not only to halt attacks but also to inflict serious losses on the enemy. This shift could influence the future trajectory of the conflict and the strategies adopted by both sides in the coming months.
