Military Man from Odesa Region Illegally Stored Weapons and Assaulted Neighbor: Court's Decision.
The military man from Odesa region illegally stored an AK-74, ammunition for it, and grenades at home. However, he was exposed by law enforcement when he assaulted his neighbor with the butt of the rifle. The case was heard in the Balta District Court.

Details of the Case
The soldier from Kotovsk found an AK-74 rifle, a body of a hand grenade SHGR 2000, and 144 rounds of 5.45 mm caliber ammunition on the front line, which he stored at home.
Later, the serviceman had an argument with his neighbor due to personal animosity. Being in a state of alcoholic intoxication, the soldier took the rifle and hit the man on the head several times with the butt, causing him abrasions. The victim sustained minor bodily injuries, and the military had to defend himself in court.
Court's Decision
The accused was found guilty under Article 125 Part 1 and Article 263 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal storage of weapons and causing minor bodily harm). However, the court released him from 4 years of imprisonment with a two-year probation period.
