The director of the analytical group 'Leviathan', military expert Mykola Melnyk, believes that the forceful delivery to the Territorial Centers of Recruitment is a personal issue for those citizens who have not updated their data. He thinks that the police would not be able to handle such a task.
Can law enforcement deliver draft dodgers to TCC
Melnyk noted that although the mechanism for involving persons in the military exists, its effectiveness is questionable.
“There are sometimes illegal excesses, they can be removed. In everything else, there is a legal mechanism that must be implemented. If a person has not updated their data and is forcibly delivered to the TCC and SP, then it is their personal problems,” said Melnyk.
He also explained that law enforcement may face difficulties in delivering draft dodgers to the TCC without official clarification from the ministry.
Recall that recently the Ombudsman explained whether the use of force at TCC is legal, and the lawyer named two real reasons for detaining a citizen at a checkpoint.
During the discussion of the situation regarding the delivery of draft dodgers to the Territorial Centers of Recruitment, many questions arise regarding the effectiveness and legality of these measures. It is important to consider the legal aspects and the specifics of each situation in order to avoid possible violations of human rights.Read also
