The head of the recruitment department, Denys Shvydkyi, agreed with the implementation of expanded pre-conscription training for youth. According to him, this program is extremely relevant and important as it not only provides essential skills but also helps teenagers understand the essence of military affairs and its significance.

The recruitment head explained why children need to be prepared for war from the age of 14

'I think this will be very effective and very necessary at this time; the program needs to be implemented. Boys from this year will find it interesting, and it will be ingrained in their memory as specific skills. They will understand why this is done, what it is, and how it needs to be done', - noted Shvydkyi.

Shvydkyi reminded that previously students began studying the basics of military training from the 8th-9th grade, but now it is about a more complete and expanded program aimed at fostering a patriotic worldview, not just training.

'But if there are currently contradictions regarding this, society as a whole needs to realize what is happening in our country, that we are in a state of war. Unfortunately, not everyone realizes this. During World War II, people were called up from the age of 14, and generally all who could hold a weapon. In Germany, they conscripted people from the age of 12', - he emphasized.

Ukrainian military officials are considering the possibility of implementing expanded pre-conscription training for children aged 14 and older. It is noted that this program aims to foster a patriotic worldview and provide teenagers with the necessary skills to understand the importance of military affairs.
