Higher by 2.5 times: Ukrainians were shown the salaries of officials.

The salaries of officials were shown to Ukrainians in July 2024. According to the Ministry of Finance, the average salary of civil servants in central government bodies of Ukraine has significantly increased, exceeding the official average salary in the country by two and a half times. Particularly noticeable is the increase for specialists, whose average salary increased by 50% to 40 thousand hryvnias during the first half of the year.

The highest salary level was found in the Ministry of Economics, where the average salary of a specialist increased from 38,000 to 77,000 hryvnias. In the Ministry of Economics overall, taking into account leaders, the average indicator is 103.7 thousand UAH.

A significant salary increase was also found in other ministries, for example, in the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, where the average salary is now over 50,000 hryvnias.

Among the central government bodies of Ukraine, the employees of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities receive the highest salaries, about 101.7 thousand hryvnias. The situation was higher in 2023, when funds were allocated for the remuneration of 147 thousand civil servants, but many positions remained unfilled.

Since 2024, the government has carried out a payroll reform in central government bodies, changing the ratio between salary and bonuses. Now the salary represents 70% of the total payroll, and bonuses do not exceed 30%.
