Russia shelled Druzhkivka: seven injured, destruction in the city center.
On Saturday, August 2, Russian invaders shelled the city of Druzhkivka in Donetsk region. Law enforcement recorded 8 hits, resulting in 7 people injured and damage to local buildings.
Consequences of the strikes on Druzhkivka
The police are considering the possibility of an attack by Russian drones 'Geran-2'. The strikes were aimed at the city center, where residential houses, a shopping complex, administrative premises, a shop, and cars were damaged as a result of the shelling.
'At least 8 hits have been recorded. Among the injured are six women aged 22 to 71 years, as well as a 57-year-old man. Two residential buildings, a shopping complex, three administrative buildings, a shop, and nine civilian cars were damaged,' the police reported.
Police paramedics arrived at the scene immediately after the shelling. They provided assistance to the victims, rescued people from blocked buildings, and extinguished fires.
Currently, the number of injured is being established and the extent of the damage is being assessed. The situation in Druzhkivka remains tense due to the shelling by Russian invaders, which has resulted in injuries to civilians and significant material losses.
