Vitaliy Kim on the exhaustion of Ukrainians: We need peace, but a just one.

According to ТСН: Commenting on the progress in peace efforts, the head of the region noted that Ukrainian society, despite the desire to continue the fight, feels serious exhaustion due to the protracted conflict.

“I expect that these negotiations will have an effect and result in the near future, because our people are indeed exhausted. Our people do not give up. We can continue the fight, but we are exhausted. This is true. We need to talk about it. And that is why most people in Ukraine, in my opinion, expect that the results of these negotiations will stop the war,” said Kim.

He also emphasized that any ceasefire agreement must be based on the principles of justice, since Ukraine is the party defending against aggression.

“I would like our people to no longer die at the hands of the invaders; I am confident that this peace must be just because we are defending ourselves. We are not aggressors, and we are protecting our homeland,” summarized Vitaliy Kim.

The situation in Ukraine remains tense, and peace negotiations may be a key step towards ending the conflict. The expressed hopes for the effectiveness of these meetings reflect the desire of the people to find ways to peacefully resolve the situation they find themselves in.
