During a visit to Alaska, Russians had to refuel planes with cash due to sanctions in the US. They cannot use the American banking system. This was reported by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on NBC News.
The Kremlin Feels the Impact of Sanctions
'The impact of all sanctions remains. When the Russians landed in Alaska, they needed to refuel. They had to offer to pay cash for refueling their planes because they cannot use our banking system. They face the consequences every day', — said the US Secretary of State.
Rubio noted that the only way to end the war is to force both Russians and Ukrainians to agree to peace. New sanctions, he said, would allegedly reduce the chances of bringing Russians to negotiations.
