According to Novyny.live: Legal experts have clarified that undergoing a Military Medical Commission (MMC) is not a mandatory step for securing a job in schools or other educational settings. However, confusion persists as some institutions may still request it, sparking concern among those eyeing careers in education. This issue has become particularly relevant amid Ukraine's ongoing mobilization efforts, where military registration rules affect many job seekers.

It is crucial to understand that the MMC is not legally required for employment in an educational institution. Nonetheless, individuals who are registered for military service must fulfill certain obligations to territorial conscription centers. Specifically, military-liable citizens cannot start any job without presenting their military registration documents. This requirement can pose a hurdle for those hoping to work in schools or similar establishments.

What the MMC Requirements Actually Entail

Despite the legal clarity, some schools may still demand an MMC certificate, leading to misinformation among applicants.

“Legally, you don't need to do it. But the school principal might ask or even insist that you undergo the commission,” notes Vyacheslav Kyrdа.

“The information you've been given is incorrect. You do not need to undergo the MMC to apply for or receive a deferment,” emphasizes lawyer Yuriy Ayvazyan.
