VLK during deferment — the only exception.
During the current deferment, military personnel are not directed to VLK
In Ukraine, the process of general mobilization continues due to the conflict with Russia. One of the steps is the mandatory military medical commission, which raises many questions among those liable for military service.
A citizen approached lawyers with the question of whether he needs to undergo VLK if he has a deferment from conscription. Lawyer Yuri Aivazyan clearly explained that those with deferments are not required to undergo the medical commission.
One exception for military personnel
However, there is an exception for those who have a deferment. This applies to persons who were previously recognized as 'limited fit for military service'. Such citizens, regardless of their deferment, must undergo VLK to update their data regarding their fitness for military service.
Summary: Ukraine continues the mobilization due to the conflict with Russia. To ensure that only healthy citizens become part of the active army, it is important to understand when it is necessary to undergo the military medical commission. Citizens with deferments are not obligated to do so, except for those who were previously recognized as 'limited fit' for military service.Read also
