Nearly 2,900 people have died in traffic accidents in Ukraine since the beginning of 2024
From the beginning of 2024, nearly 2,900 people have died in traffic accidents in Ukraine. The patrol police reports that from January to November of this year, 2,886 people died in traffic accidents, and another 29,484 were injured. The number of accidents with injuries increased by 9%, reaching 23,743 cases, compared to the same period last year.
The main reason for fatal traffic accidents is speeding violations, which resulted in the deaths of 1,608 people.
In addition, the fatalities included violations of maneuvering rules (442 people) and pedestrians crossing in unmarked places (148 people).
Statistics show that the most accidents occur from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and the most dangerous day of the week is Friday. Details of a horrific traffic accident in which a child died have emerged in Dnipro.
