A fire broke out in a flat in the village of Avangard: how rescuers saved the building.
On the night of August 4, a fire occurred in a flat of a residential complex in the village of Avangard. The fire engulfed the balcony and a room, but rescuers arrived on time and prevented the flames from spreading to other flats.
This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in the Odesa region on Sunday, August 3.
Fire in Avangard
According to their information, the fire broke out at night in the '7 Sky' residential complex on European Street, located in the village of Avangard in the Odesa district. A flat and balcony on the third floor of a five-story building were on fire.
The fire was quickly localized: the flames did not manage to spread to neighboring homes. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.
How many rescuers were involved
Seven units of equipment and 25 rescuers from the State Emergency Service were involved in the extinguishing effort. Additionally, specialists from the Citizens' Safety Center of the Avangard Village Council were also present — one more unit of equipment and three firefighters. The causes of the fire are currently being investigated.
