The Russian occupation army is engaged in battles in the urban area of Kurakhove in Donetsk region and is trying to cut an important logistics artery.
This was stated by military expert Vladyslav Selezniov during a broadcast on the FREEДОМ channel.
He emphasized that the situation at the front is very difficult, heavy battles are ongoing.
'The difficulty is due to the fact that the enemy is fighting in the urban area of Kurakhove. They have practically surrounded our garrison in this settlement and are now actively attacking our military units to the south in the area of the Sukhyi Yal River. They have managed to cut off a key logistics artery that supplies our defenders in the area of Kurakhove. The road in question is 'Zaporizhzhia - Donetsk'. The enemy is trying to cut off this artery near the settlement of Konstantinopol', - said the military expert.
Selezniov believes that the outcome of this battle has already been decided, as we have lost the opportunity to stabilize the front line due to loss of time and territorial capabilities.
'Of course, the life and health of our soldiers are the most important, so the situation in the area of Kurakhove will be resolved accordingly. We are implementing maneuvering defense and conducting active battles with the armed forces that are on the defense of Ukraine - this is the reality we are in', - he said.
