We are tired. Russian prisoners complained to the ombudsman.
Ukrainian ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets met with Russian prisoners who were sent home on March 19. Before the exchange from Poland, he asked them if they had any complaints about their captivity. The meeting was recorded on video, which the ombudsman himself published.
You seem ready to go home, but you are upset, without joy, - said the ombudsman's representative. - We are tired, - the prisoners responded. What exactly are they tired of, the Russians indicated: from everything.
It should be noted that 175 Ukrainian defenders were released from Russian captivity. Another 22 defenders are returning home without participating in the exchange.
Earlier, the Russian president informed the US president that a prisoner exchange would take place on March 19 - 175 for 175. Zelensky confirmed the exchange and emphasized that it had been planned earlier.
Vladimir Putin also supported Donald Trump's idea of a mutual refusal by Russia and Ukraine to strike at energy infrastructure for a duration of 30 days.
However, after this, the Russians violated the energy truce by striking an important facility in Sloviansk. Overall, the Russians attacked one of the substations in the city, which led to power outages in some areas.
