Wizz Air Expands Polish Network with Three New Routes for 2026.
Wizz Air Announces New Flight Routes
According to Novyny.live: Wizz Air has revealed plans to introduce three new routes from Poland, scheduled to begin in the spring and summer of 2026. The expansion targets popular European holiday destinations. Flights from Warsaw Modlin Airport will serve Varna in Bulgaria and Rimini in Italy, while services from Krakow Airport will connect to Rhodes in Greece.
The airline will operate flights to Varna and Rhodes three times per week, with the Rimini route seeing four weekly flights. Ticket prices for these new connections will start from 109 Polish złoty, which is roughly equivalent to 1300 Ukrainian hryvnia. This move is part of Wizz Air's broader strategy in the Polish market, where it currently operates 234 routes to 32 countries and has carried nearly 130 million passengers since its launch there. The carrier also confirmed that new routes from Naples International Airport in Italy are set to commence on May 12, 2026.
Implications for Tourism Infrastructure
The launch of these routes highlights the sustained demand for travel to key European leisure destinations. This expansion is expected to positively impact tourism infrastructure in Bulgaria, Italy, and Greece by attracting a greater number of visitors in the coming years. As the aviation industry continues to adapt post-pandemic, such network growth represents a significant step in the sector's regional recovery, offering more affordable travel options for passengers.
