Wizz Air Introduces Wizz Link: A New Service to Combine Separate Flights.
Wizz Air Announces New Connecting Flights Service
According to Novyny.live: Wizz Air has unveiled a new service called Wizz Link, enabling passengers to book separate flights on a single itinerary with basic missed connection protection. This initiative, developed in partnership with the Dohop platform, unlocks access to over 8,000 new potential route combinations for travelers. This move is part of a broader industry trend towards offering more flexible point-to-point travel options.
Wizz Link offers greater itinerary flexibility. However, passengers must be aware of key conditions: during the connection, they are responsible for collecting their baggage and checking in again for their onward flight. Furthermore, travelers must ensure they possess the necessary entry rights for the transit country, a crucial detail for trip planning.
Benefits of the New Service
The service includes ConnectSure protection, which allows for flight rebooking in case of a delay, providing added peace of mind. Some of the new route combinations made possible by Wizz Link include:
- London to Marsa Alam via Rome;
- Kutaisi to Reykjavik via Warsaw;
- Athens to Oslo via Bucharest;
- Flights from Iasi Airport, located 330 km from Odesa;
- Flights from Chisinau.
The introduction of Wizz Link could significantly simplify travel for many passengers, making it easier to combine different flights and explore new destinations. This service caters to the growing post-pandemic demand for adaptable and cost-effective air travel, allowing passengers to create their own connections across Wizz Air's network.
Wizz Link aligns with market trends favoring flexible travel solutions and underscores Wizz Air's strategy to adapt to evolving passenger needs. By expanding route options and providing basic connection safeguards, the service aims to attract new customers and enhance loyalty in a competitive market, potentially becoming a key tool for the airline's growth.
