A special reconnaissance unit called 'Angels' rescued the family of a Naval Forces officer, pursued by the Russian FSB, from temporarily occupied Crimea. This was reported by the press service of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Details of the special operation

It is noted that the officer's family was forced to leave the peninsula due to persecution by the Federal Security Service of Russia.

Further details state: 'On September 18, the occupiers detained the entire family, which consisted of the officer's parents, sister, and underage niece. They were held unlawfully and subjected to psychological pressure for three days, with threats of torture. The occupiers hoped to force the Ukrainian officer to cooperate in this way.'

On September 20, under the conditions that the Ukrainian serviceman would contact FSB employees within the next five days, the family was released. Otherwise, they were threatened with long-term imprisonment of his family.

However, the officer reported the situation to the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksii Neizhpapa. As a result, the Naval Forces decided to involve a special reconnaissance unit called 'Angels' in the planning and execution of the special operation.

The Naval Forces' press service emphasizes: 'The operation was planned in full secrecy, executed promptly, and successfully completed. The family was evacuated almost next to the occupiers.'

The press service added that, in total, the special reconnaissance unit 'Angels' has already evacuated 73 individuals, including both civilians and military personnel.

Recall that a decision was made in three communities of the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region regarding the mandatory evacuation of 269 children. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov. The regional military administration stated that all evacuees would receive material assistance from international partners such as the UN, as well as humanitarian, psychological, and legal support.
