In a week, 10 suspicions in the Kyiv City State Administration — Details from the deputy.
During the week, officials of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) identified ten suspicions of corruption. However, according to Kyiv City Council deputy Andriy Vitrenko, this is just the beginning, as new investigations can be expected soon.
Vitrenko reported that suspicions of corruption schemes have already been identified among the directors of KCSA departments. This fact is considered a disgrace for the city authorities.
In addition, he emphasized that independent structures fighting corruption and drawing attention to corruption cases in KCSA will continue to take action within the law and bring cases to conclusion.
Suspicions in KCSA
During the first two weeks of July, suspicions of corruption schemes involving KCSA officials were identified, among which:
- Suspicion of 11 individuals who caused damage to the city budget of nearly 200 million UAH;
- Head of the Kyiventelesa service for the procurement of internet equipment at inflated prices;
- Deputy General Director of the Informatika utility for the procurement of gear equipment at inflated prices;
- Head of the monitoring department of the KCSA Department of Municipal Property for privatizing municipal real estate at undervalued prices;
- Chief engineer of the Kyiv Fortress Museum for payments for poorly performed project work;
- Director of the Kyiv choir for professional negligence;
- Head of the capital's academic operetta theater for professional negligence during the procurement of generators.
We also have information that a former KCSA official is suspected of embezzling 75 million in social assistance intended for seriously ill individuals under the "Care. Towards Kyiv residents" program. Furthermore, the head of the KCSA and the market director were caught taking a bribe - they were detained while receiving an improper benefit of $25,000.
Corruption scandals in KCSA are becoming increasingly active. The ten identified suspicions and investigations indicate widespread corruption issues among city government officials. The actions of controlling agencies indicate that the fight against the misconduct of officials in Kyiv is ongoing, and new investigations can be expected soon.
